Fantasy

A selection of inspiration for third year. Not entirely sure what the theme is, but triangles seems to keep popping up.

Jonathan Saunders

So i have been extremely neglectful of my blog lately due to the fact that i have been on a placement with Jonathan Saunders for the past 6 weeks and have had barely anytime for myself.
After experiencing a real fashion house and how a collection is truly put together, i wanted to share with you some amazing pieces  from his Resort 12 collection that i have seen been created first hand.

Givenchy Fall 11/12

I have been neglecting my blog recently as easter work and fun seem to rule over my computer.
For my next project i want to draw from animals for print ideas.
I have a love for big cats and i just fell in love with the panther photographs for Givenchys fall collection.

I really would love either a calf length or floor length pleated skirt, but as i am 5"3 i feel  i am too short to wear one. Can only super tall women get away with them?

Asymmetric Symmetry

Hand in day today awwwoooo! finally finished all my photoshopping and illustrating for my designs. I really like how i have made my photographs look quite old and dated and the displace filter works really well when i put my prints onto the garments. I decided to display my illustrations in a different way by placing them onto a mannequin.
Below is how i displayed my work at uni, i wanted my work to be like an installation as well as just designs so i styled and  added photography of items from the room in which the pictures were taken, which seemed to tie it all in and gave it a more completed look and feel.
